Over seven years, Malaga (Spain) hold annually one of the greatest professional and multi-sectoral forum for technology transfer and open innovation “Foro Transfiere”.
The event aims to help stakeholders to identify the national and international R&D&I ecosystem. Transfiere, is a European Forum for Science, Technology, and Innovation that every year, brings together public and private agents, as well as independent professionals and representatives of SMEs and multinationals, public administrations, universities, technology centers and science and technology parks, among others Organisms.This seventh edition recorded more than 4.500 attendees along one and a half day (14-15 February). More than 1.700 public and private entities participated in this edition to showcase strategic sectors of the Spanish economy linked to energy, circular economy, health and ITC/IoT (mainly applied to smart city).
The 7th edition of the Forum had Argentina as the guest country.
After last editions guests (Israel, South Korea, and Portugal), this year Argentina has been the guest country. Argentina has a special presence, been represented by a delegation made up of institutional (MINCYT), business and academic agents (CONICET) linked to R&D&I ecosystem in sectors such as agriculture, aerospace or industry.
The event design is set to cluster the stakeholders into different area upon the technology and activity. The design aims to enhance the networking, one-to-one meeting and to boost partnership and cooperation agreements. Transfiere networking area allows up to 32 direct work meetings to be arranged at the same time and place. In this sense, during this edition, representatives of companies and researchers held about 5.500 work meetings.
Internationalization of the Transfiere brand: Transfiere Argentina.
Foro Transfiere reached a new milestone announcing the internationalization of the brand, with the celebration next September 2018, of the first edition of Transfiere Argentina, I Ibero-American Forum on Technology and Innovation. The event that will be held in Mar del Plata, is promoted by Fundación Global an independent, non-profit organization that gathers more than 150 leading companies and professionals from the Buenos Aires Province.
In addition to Argentina, Tunisia also has been actively present in Transfiere as it hosted a mission of technological and business cooperation between Andalusia and Tunisia. The mission was organized by the Agency for Innovation and Development of Andalusia (IDEA) in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Tunisia and the Agency for Promotion of the Industry and Innovation of the North African country (APII).

One of the innovative Tunisian company presented was SOIB that manufactures blocks of compressed and stabilized earth for ecological construction as energy efficiency solution for “Nearly Zero-Energy buildings”. CMR Tunisia Ship Repairs was also presented. Its the largest shipyard located in the north of Tunisia and in the south of the Mediterranean.
